OUR COACHING PROGRAMME

Levels of Play

All of our Annabel Croft tennis academy holiday courses offer tuition for beginners, intermediates and advanced players. Each of our age group categories uses a flexible syllabus which enables players to work at the right speed for their playing ability.

Mini Academy Programme

The mini academy programme is a great introduction to tennis for younger players who are coming to tennis for the first time or have been playing for a short while. In keeping with the LTA’s mini tennis guidelines, this age group use a larger and slower RED tennis ball and a smaller court space. Players are encouraged the have loads of fun working on the key basic elements of tennis such as ABCS (Agility, Balance, Co-ordination, Speed), racquet skills, ball position and the rules of the game.

Junior Academy Programme

Slightly older and more experienced players are coached using our junior tennis programme. Players have the chance to play in a larger court space and use a faster ORANGE tennis ball. Each session develops key skills such as movement and ball position, racquet techniques and players are encouraged to begin to think tactically in their practice.

Development Academy Programme

Players taking part in our development programme are now practicing and learning tennis over a full court and with the more familiar YELLOW tennis ball. The aim of the development academy is train players to understand the more progressive skills needed to play tennis such as racquet grip changes, situations of play and match play skills.
