FAQs
Where do I drop off /pick up my child at a camp?
Look out for the Activate Sport banner, and also for our staff who will make it very clear where the registration point is at every venue. Drop off and pick up will be at this point every day.
What should my child bring?
Your child is welcome to bring his or her own sports equipment, if they have a favourite hockey stick/cricket bat for example. However we will provide all necessary equipment for all the sports and activities your child will take part in. At most camps, swimming is an option, and we will let you know on Monday which day your child needs to bring their kit.
Will you provide lunch for my child?
Lunch can be provided at certain locations, Trent College, Ratcliffe College and Grace Dieu at an extra price. For all other camps, please send a packed lunch with your child.
What should my child wear?
Every child should wear appropriate clothing for outdoor activities, tracksuits with shorts if the weather is good, and ideally every child should have 2 pairs of footwear, one for inside and one for outside if the weather is bad.
Will you provide drinks and snacks?
Yes. However you are welcome to send your child with their own.
Will you provide sun cream?
No, we can't apply sun screen to all children. Please send the appropriate factor with your child and we will remind them throughout the day to apply it.
If I want to know how my child is getting on at a camp, what do I do?
You can call our free phone number at any time during camp hours to find out how your child is.
