A day in the life working for Activate Sport:

8.00 – 9.00am

Arrive in plenty of time for a brief meeting with the manager about the day ahead, check timetables groupings and to prepare and set up sessions for early arrivals.

8.30 – 9.30am

Children start arriving for ‘extra time’ and staff assume their designated role:

• Welcome and directions from car park
• Meet and Greet parents and children (Manager role)
• Assist with Registration
• Lead pre-planned activity sessions

9.30 – 9.40am

The Manger will welcome everyone and explain camp safety. Staff are officially introduced to children and their groups.

9.40 – 10.30am

Session 1 – All staff should have pre-planned their sessions for the day and made them as fun and exciting as possible while being safe and well organised. Activate Academies staff will have their groups for 2 sessions.

10.30 – 10.40am

Break 1 – With all breaks you should assist with your group getting drinks and snacks

10.40 – 11.30am

Session 2 – As session 1

11.30 – 11.40am

Break 2

11.40am – 12.30pm

Session 3 – Children taking part in Activate Academies rejoin their groups for the last session of the morning. Keeping children from thinking about food is a particular talent at this time of the day :o)

12.30 – 1.30pm

Lunch – AM Half day campers are collected and signed out (Manager Role). Lunch is split into 2 parts with the first half being for everyone to relax and eat, the second half being for quizzes and talent shows which staff members are expected to lead. Staff are split into groups also with half supervising while campers eat and the other half leading activities in the second part of lunch, giving staff a 30 minute break each day. Managers may need help registering PM Half day campers.

Camp Wrap up – Pack away and help children get their gear ready for collection. Manager informs/reminds children of any special activities or themes for the following day.

4.30 – 5.30pm

Children are signed out and as with the morning sign in Staff are allocated with various roles to do. Evening tasks also include: Tidying, cleaning, collection of *lost property* and equipment inventory. Staff leave 5.00 – 5.30pm.

*Displayed at the registration point for parents at the start & finish of every day therefore.
